VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers are an essential part of PrimeLife Enrichment, Inc.  We simply couldn't operate without the dedicated assistance of people throughout our community who are committed to making a difference.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Please contact us if you would like further information about our volunteer program.  We welcome interns, youth leadership programs, troops, retired professionals, social service organizations and those seeking to earn credit

 towards their annual membership costs.

ACTIVITIES - The activity volunteer experience can include; organizing day trips, assisting with various office duties, helping with events, sharing a talent by instructing a class or teaching a computer class in our computer lab.  Email Us

 

  ADOPT A GRAND-PERSON PROGRAM -This program matches special groups to individual

  clients.   Short or long term commitments are acceptable and may involve volunteers of any age.

 ADULT GUARDIANSHIP -  The purpose of the program is to  

  establish Guardianships, Emergency Temporary Guardian-

  ships, or other guardianship alternatives for qualified

  individuals. Adult Guardianship Services, Inc. will be    

  appointed as legal guardian of the client.  Email Us

 

 

 

  BOARD OF DIRECTORS -This volunteer governing body is responsible for oversight of the Executive

  Director,  and compliance  with all rules, regulations and laws applicable to not-for-profits in 

  general, and those specific to PrimeLife Enrichment Inc.  Email Us

 

  COMMUNITY OUTREACH - Volunteer perform in-office assistance, contacting  clients for updated

  information on benefits available to them, and provide clerical duties for timely programs. 

  Opportunities also available for SHIP, Senior  Health Insurance Information Program volunteer

  counselors.  Email Us

 

  CRAFT / RESALE SHOP - Volunteers will sort, price and prepare donated items as well as staff the   Thrift Store

  during the daily hours of operation.   Email Us

 

  FRIENDLY VISITORS - These volunteers are carefully matched to help seniors directly

  in their homes.  A commitment of one hour a week is required to assist with things such

  as light household tasks, running errands and providing companionship to the lonely.

  FUND RAISING/SPECIAL EVENTS -  PLE needs people who have great outreach and  

  communication skills, with an interest in sharing the many benefits of PLE programs  

  and services.  Volunteer roles require integrity, a talent for planning and implementing

  major special events, and attention to detail.  Training available!  Email Us

 

  HANDYMAN - Volunteers will provide assistance with minor repairs around the center  

  and for clients. Email Us

 

   YARD WORK - Volunteers can help keep PrimeLife Enrichment's new facility and  

  surroundings beautiful.  We could use your help with planting flowers, weeding and 

  mowing the yard.  Email Us

VOLUNTEERS MAKE

IT HAPPEN!

 

  OFFICE ASSISTANT - Receptionist skills are helpful in this area to answer

  in-coming phone calls and direct clients and visitors as they arrive at the front

  desk.  Volunteers may also perform a variety of clerical assignments.  Email Us

 

  EVENING RECEPTIONIST -  Monday thru Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. volunteers are needed to answer

  in-coming phone calls and  direct clients and visitors as they arrive at the front desk.  Volunteers may also

  SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAM - This is a Federal government program that pays a stipend to volunteers over

  60 years of age, to serve other older adults.  Volunteers must not exceed specific income guidelines and work 20  

  hours a week.  Email Us

 

  SHIP COUNSELORS - Volunteers are trained on Health Insurance issues and make a commitment to answer

  callers questions a couple hours a month.  Email Us

 

  THE RECYCLING CENTER - This position requires the sorting and bundling of items to be recycled once
